Summary Lahore Police arrested a man who was trying to cash a fake cheque while his accomplice fled.
According to Shahdara Police, on a tip-off, a man namely Jawad was arrested when he was trying to cash a fake cheque from Standard Charted Bank’s branch, while an accomplice of the accused, Tariq Sohail fled from the scene.According to SHO Shahdara Police Station Sharif Sandhu, the accused had also cashed fake cheques worth 5 million from other branches of Standard Charted Bank.Later, the accused reached bank’s Shahdara branch and tried to cash the cheque, but they were caught, the SHO said.He added that the raids are being made to search the fleeing accused who will be arrested soon.
