Summary Fourteen hours power shutdown continues in some areas of Karachi despite repairing of faults.

The repairing of faults has been started in Karachi after the agreement between KESC management and workers but residents of some areas of the city are still facing 14 hours loadshedding.The repairing work of PMT’s and cable faults has been started in different areas of Karachi but it will take many days. Due to this situation, loadshedding has not reduced and it has reached up to 14 hours in some areas of the city.Last night, power fluctuation continued in several areas and the residents spent the whole night waking in the streets. The residents of Shah Latif Town protested against prolonged loadshedding and blocked National Highway.The power consumers are facing difficulties due to prolonged and unannounced loadshedding in different areas of the city including Block 13 and 17 of Federal B area, Soldier Bazar, Gulistan-e-Johar, Malir, Landhi and Korangi.
