Summary Patients are facing difficulties as YDAs protest continues for the fifth day at PIMS in Islamabad.
The young doctors are protesting for new service structure, increase in salaries and permanent appointments.The outdoor operations have been suspended due to the strike and only emergency operations are being conducted due to which the patients and their attendants are facing difficulties due to the strike.Spokesman Young Doctors’ Association Islamabad, Muhammad Anwar Taqqi said that no government’s official contacted YDA for any dialogue.He said that YDA wants to keep the strike peaceful, however, a sit-in will be staged in the hospital and a protest rally will be taken out towards the Parliament House if the notification of approval of the demands is not issued till July 25.
