Summary At least 25 villages and hundreds of acres of crops are under the threat of River Chenab erosion.
The irrigation officers have allegedly opened the southern gates of Head Qadirabad due to which erosion in the river is feared at Kot Saleem, Bahri Tarar, Bagh Syedan, Kot Pir Muhammad, Kot Fazil and adjacent areas.Hundreds of acres of rice and corn crops are in danger.On the complaint of the locals, Dunya News team visited Flood Control Room but no official was present there.Residents of the area have appealed to the Punjab government to construct safety dyke to stop erosion and take action against the negligent officials.
