Guide Bund, which protects Dera Ismail Khan city from flood water in River Sindh, was badly damaged during last year’s floods.The provincial government had provided Rs 17 million for the repair of the protective dyke. But the negligence and irresponsibility was in the reported in the repair work.Investigation teams visited the site on airing of the news of negligence on Dunya News. A team of Anti-Corruption Department under the chairmanship of Assistant Director Hidayat Ullah Khan reached Drea Ismail Khan from Peshawar and inspected the site. Talking to Dunya News, Hidayat Ullah said that those involved in negligence and irresponsibility would be punished according to the law.
