Summary LHC has called Additional Advocate General for legal assistance on a bogus police encounter case.
The court made the call on a writ petition filed against police officers.When the court started hearing, lawyer of the petitioner, Aftab Bajwa Advocate, put an application before the court and stated that police officers particularly CCPO and DIG investigation were responsible for the murder of Shahbaz Butt killed in a fake encounter in Nishter Colony.The lawyer further argued that junior officers committed this crime on the order of seniors.The LHC sought legal assistance from Additional Advocate General on the issue and adjourned till July 11
