Summary At least 87 Russian-made hand grenades were found from a drum in Navy Cooperative Housing Society.
According to Town Police Officer (TPO) Clifton, Ahsan Umar, the hand grenades were found by a police mobile party during their routine patrol from Navy Cooperative Housing Society near Super Highway. The hand grenades were hidden in a drum.Bomb disposal squad was called in who reached the spot and diffused the hand grenades. According to bomb disposal squad sources, the GRD-1 model hand grenades were manufactured in 2006.
