Summary The LHC has issued show cause notices to three provincial secretaries in teachers allowance case.
The teachers of the Lahore District Government filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) to get the Big City Allowance.The court gave the verdict in favour of the teachers but it was not implemented.Taking notice of the matter, the LHC issued show cause notices to the finance secretary, the local council secretary and the schools secretary and asked the Punjab government to submit its reply in 15 days.During the hearing, Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh remarked that if the court’s verdict were not implemented, the salaries of officials would be ceased.
