Islamabad: Inquiry reveals two women in PIMS died of infection

A five -member committee formed to investigate the death of two women at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital submitted their report with the administration, which revealed that their cause of death was an infection.The committee recommended conducting laboratory tests of the equipment, drips, dresses and IV sets of the operation theatre of the Maternity and Child Center at PIMS. The quality control department of the Federal Health Ministry also inspected the factory that made the injections. The drug inspector took samples of injections and medicines from the factory to conduct laboratory tests.
