Summary Consumption of electricity amounts to 17.000mg which has caused unannounced load shedding.
According to Pepco officials, Lahore needs 17000 mg while its production is only 14,658, causing shortage of 2360. Due to pressure on power supply, Islamabad National Power Control Centre has started load shedding to save the system from tripping.Pepco representative said that duration of load shedding for urban areas is four hours while seven hours for rural areas. But over consumption of air conditions and air coolers has resulted in shortfall.
