Summary The Lahore High Court has accepted a petition for hearing regarding amendment in Guardian Act 1980.
The stance was taken in the petition filed by Advocate Ishtiaq that the meeting of the children is arranged only in the court after the separation of husband and wife which leaves negative impact on children’s mind.He further argued that such cases were on the increase due to many complexities in the Guardian Act.Justice Mamoon Rashid of Lahore High Court accepted the petition for hearing and ordered the law minister to submit reply in this regard.
