Summary Muhammad Daud Kasi was elected as the new president of the Balochistan Bar Association for one year.
Shakeel Panel, Insaf Panel and Lawyers’ Panel contested the election. Muhammad Daud Kasi of Shakeel Panel won the election by taking 222 votes.Rashidur Rehman of Insaf Panel and Haji Manzor of Shakeel Panel were elected as the general secretaries with 179 and 126 votes.Obaidullah of Shakeel Panel won the seat of joint secretary after taking 210 votes while Juma Khan was elected as the finance secretary with 197 votes.After the announcement of results, lawyers danced on drum beats in the courtyard of the Quetta District Court building.
