Summary Gastroenteritis epidemic broke out in Kasur and its adjacent areas.
The hospitals are filled with patients and hospital authorities are forced to accommodate two to three patients on one bed. The number of patients suffering gastroenteritis is stated to be in thousands.According to medical experts, the increase in number of gastroenteritis patients is due to hot weather and long hours of load shedding. They also advised use of clean water and fresh healthy food to avoid the disease. They said that gastroenteritis causes acute water deficiency in patients which could cause death. They also advised that the gastroenteritis patient should be kept at cool places while children be given boiled water.
