Summary Patients in Quetta have started losing their lives due to the strike by the young doctors.
Parents brought their child to the Civil Hospital Quetta but due to the strike of the young doctors medical treatment was not available. As a result, the despaired parents left their child outside the emergency ward.After two hours, a member of the paramedical staff noticed the abandoned child, crying outside the ward. The staff member took the child for treatment but was too late as the children had permanently lost vision from one of his eye.The strike of the young doctors in Quetta has been going on for a month, due to which the Out Patient Department and the emergency wards in the government hospital remain closed.Patients in Bolan Medical Complex and Civil Hospital are facing great difficultly. So far five patients have lost their lives due to the doctors’ strike.
