Summary Lawyers on Monday staged a sit-in against target killings in Karachi.
Lawyers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boycotted the courts. When lawyers took out the rally from Sindh High Court, the administration blocked the road with tankers but lawyers reached the Chief Minister’s House and staged a sit-in. Provincial minister Rafiq Engineer assured the killers would be arrested and families of victims would be compensated. However, lawyers announced to boycott the courts for two more days. On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lawyers expressed solidarity with Karachi lawyers and boycotted the lower courts.
