Summary Thousands of people lined up at petrol stations to fill up their vehicles before the price hike.
Long queues were seen at petrol station throughout the city late night on Saturday as people tried to fill up their cars, motorbikes and generators before the price increase was implemented. The new prices were to take effect from 12:00am on Sunday. Several petrol station closed operation despite long queues due to which the people face difficulties. The people also expressed their outrage at the increase in petrol price. At petrol several stations, harsh words were also exchanged between the people and the staff.
