Summary Sub standard meat, vegetables, fruits and spices are being sold at the Sunday Bazaars in Multan.
Despite the presence of Price control committee at the Madni Chowk Sunday bazaar, sale of sun standard items and edibles continued which left the health of the customers and consumers at risk. The people were also concerned about the fraud in weighing of the goods. The price control committee did not have the authority to shut down the shops which is why action could not be taken against the concerned shopkeepers. The people demanded the district administration to take action against the shopkeepers.
