Summary Some unidentified persons shot dead leader of a student organization of Punjab University.
According to details, Awais Aqeel was sitting with his colleagues at the Punjab University Law College Hostel No 18 and having tea when some unidentified persons open fire at them, injuring Awais Aqeel and one of his colleagues, Ijaz.Both the injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital where Awais Aqeel succumbed to his wounds.A large number of students reached Jinnah Hospital and staged a protest on killing of their leader. Police was called in after the firing incident in the premises of the university. Police officials were also deployed at the Jinnah Hospital.
