Summary Two suspected have strangulated to death Mufti Dr Rashid Azhar at his residence in Islamabad.
According to police two suspects came to meet Mufti Dr Rashid Azhar at his residence in Sector I-10-1 in Islamabad at around 2:30pm. Dr Rashid and his wife served lunch to the guests.Dr Rashid was found dead at 6:00pm when his children entered his room. It is stated that a belt was used to strangulate him. His car and mobile phone were also missing.Dr Rashid Azhar beloged to Ahle Hadith Wal-Jamaat and was also an employee at the Saudi Counsulate. Residents of the area staged a protest after the murder of Dr Rasheed and blocked IJP Road.
