Summary Doctors blocked national highway in protest against arrest and torture on doctors leader.
Police, allegedly, arrested and tortured leader of Doctors’ Forum Anwar Waggan in Jacobabad. On this, Doctors Forum protested against police and marched toward national highway from Civil Hospital. Afterward, protesting doctors blocked the highway by burning tyres.Police resorted to baton charge the doctors to disperse them. Several doctors were injured with the baton charge while police detained six doctors into police station.DSP City clarified that protesting doctors pelted stones on police vans due to which one cop got injured and, over this, police respond with baton charge.
