Summary Members of legal fraternity will observe Black Day on Friday.
Lawyers will condemn General (r) Pervez Musharraf’s act of disposition of Chief Justice of Pakistan five years ago -- the 9th of March 2007.Muhammad Yaseen Azad, President Supreme Court Bar Association in consultation with the Executive Committee appealed the lawyers throughout the country to observe Black Day on Friday.Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan has requested the Bar Councils and all Bar Associations all over the Country to convene protest meetings in their respective Bar premises and hoist Black Flags on Bar Buildings for observing Black Day on 09-03-2012 as a mark of protest and condemnation against the unconstitutional and illegal action of the former military dictator against the superior Judiciary.Meanwhile, Lahore High Court Bar Association would hold its general house meeting at Kayani Hall in this connection and Peshawar High Court Bar Association and District Bar Association to hold protest rallies and wave black flags to condemn the illegal sacking of CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.However, to avoid any inconvenience to litigants, there will be no strike and / or boycott of Courts on that day.--Online
