Summary The Supreme Court has directed the PM to abide by the decision of the court.
The apex court has also sought the report from the AG in this regard. A seven-member bench headed by Justice Nasirulmulk began the hearing. Attorney for Ahmed Riaz Sheikh Dr Basit argued the court wanted to implicate the president through Ahmed Riaz Skeikh and the PM through Ednan Khwja. Justice Nasirulmulk said enough was enough and such remarks should be avoided. Dr Basit further said NRO decision has opened cases against 41 thousand people. He asked as to why the court was proceeding only against Ahmed Riaz Skeikh and Ednan Khwaja. The court remarked the NRO case was different from the NRO case. The court also said options had been given to implement the decision, to which AG corresponded by saying the work was being done on those options. The court adjourned the case directing the AG to submit the report on the next date of the hearing.
