'Code of conduct for media after consultation'

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday said that code of conduct for the media would be finalized after consultation.Talking to editors of various newspapers at a local hotel, she said the media was an effective tool to serve for accountability of every segment of society, adding that how it could be possible that the media itself did not follow any code of conduct.
