Summary Peshawar High Court has directed end to fuel surcharge on electric bills.
Two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Dost Muhammad and Justice Waqar Seith conducted hearing of a petition filed against imposition of fuel surcharge on power consumers.They ordered to cancel the surcharge without any delay. The imposition of fuel surcharge had been challenged in the court by the consumers.The court had ordered removing the amount adjusted in electric bills since June and provided ten days for ratification of new bills.Moreover, NEPRA and PESKO have been ordered to extend payment time by four days for rectified bills.
