Summary Punjab lawyers boycotted the lower courts against desecration of Holy Quran in Afghanistan.
Punjab Bar Council had appealed to all bar associations in Punjab to boycott courts and hoist black flags on rooftops of bar rooms.In Lahore, lawyers boycotted all lower courts while the judges heard important cases in their chambers.The lawyers hoisted black flags at the rooftop of Aiwan-e-Adl and wore black ribbons around their arms.A meeting was held in Aiwan-e-Adl which strongly condemned incident of Quran desecration by US soldiers in Afghanistan.The lawyers also staged a protest rally after the meeting.
