Summary Islamabad authorities have approved jail trials for Imaan Mazari and Abdul Hadi Chatha in cases registered under anti-terrorism and other laws.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The jail trial of Imaan Zainab Mazari and her husband, Abdul Hadi Chatha, has been approved, with the Islamabad chief commissioner issuing an official notification.
According to the notification, the trial of Imaan Mazari and Hadi Chatha will be conducted inside the jail before Anti-Terrorism Court No. 2. The approval was granted following a request from the district magistrate and the SSP Headquarters Islamabad.
Hearings in cases registered against the couple at Kohsar and Aabpara police stations will be held inside the jail. The cases include charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act and other legal provisions.
Imaan Mazari and Hadi Chatha are currently being held at Adiala Jail.
