Summary Pakistan Bar Council has expressed reservations over nomination of eight judges for SHC.
The bar also has demanded that it should be consulted before sending the names of Sindh High Court judges for approval. While addressing a press conference in Karachi, Pakistan Bar Council Vice Chairman Akhtar Hussain said that transparency and candidness should be kept in view while selecting the new judges.He said that delay in appointment of new judges is badly affecting court proceeding.He said that the judges appointed after polls of 2008 were sacked without any cause; so they should be prioritised.He also appealed the Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry that the by-cause list should be released one or tow days early; so that lawyers may prepare their cases easily.
