Summary Aitzaz Ahsan said that PM Gilani will not seek Presidential pardon even if held guilty.

Talking to media in Lahore, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s chief counsel Aitzaz Ahsan said that the PM will not seek Presidential pardon even if convicted in the contempt case.Aitzaz said that not all convictions result in an MNA’s disqualification. “Once the verdict comes, the case will be put before the speaker of the National Assembly, where the speaker will have 30 days to decide whether Gilani can be disqualified due to the verdict or not,” he said.However, he was of the view that PM should not be disqualified. He said that writing the letter to Swiss government would not solve the issue. “Writing a letter will not bring money back to Pakistan.
