Summary Lahore High Court has accepted the writ petition moved against young doctors for hearing.
The court said that if Supreme Court knows how to get its decisions implemented, the concerned institutions should also take action against strike of the young doctors.Justice Umar Bandial conducted hearing of the case when the petitioner Azhar Siddique said that young doctors’ strike for restoration of sacked doctors on PIC issue is irrational and absolutely opposite to the true spirit of law.The judges remarked that the issue of doctors’ strike is political rather than judicial. So the administration should play its role for solution of the problem.The judges also said that if the Supreme Court issues any order, it is duty of the law enforcement institutions to get it implemented in its real sense.The court while accepting the writ petition for hearing has sought an explanation from the Pakistan Medical Association, the PMDC and the government of Punjab on February 22.
