KARACHI (Dunya News) - Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Monday said that Karachi's development and prosperity are the Sindh government's top priority.
He stated that more than Rs100 billion have been allocated for Karachi in the budget. The funds will be spent on improving water supply and rehabilitating roads. He also said that the budget places special emphasis on creating a brighter future for young people.
Sharjeel Memon added that government resources will be used to improve the public's standard of living. He announced that 500 modern electric buses, along with double-decker buses, will soon begin operating on the roads of Karachi.
He further said that some groups are busy in attempts to present a negative image of Karachi and Sindh for political purposes. He said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) believes in practical public service rather than slogan-based politics.
