According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred at a house in Afandi Colony, where an accumulation of gas reportedly led to a powerful blast.
The explosion was followed by a fire that engulfed parts of the house, leaving six people injured. A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said the blast caused severe damage to the structure of the building.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident and launched an emergency operation. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control, while rescue personnel shifted all the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Initial reports suggested that the explosion was caused by a gas leak. Rescue sources said the blast was so intense that it badly damaged the house. They added that the area had been cleared after completion of the rescue operation and the injured were receiving medical care at the hospital.
