Summary Nawaz Sharif says defiance of court orders is equal to undermining basis of democracy.
In a statement, PML-N chief said respecting court orders was an essential factor for strengthening democratic system and rule of law.Muslim League is resolute towards ensuring implementation on court verdicts, he asserted.He said the attitudes of elected rulers must be distinct in comparison to dictatorial regimes.Nawaz described supremacy of the Constitution, independent judiciary, effective media and the right of the people to elect or reject rulers as fruits of sacrifices rendered over a long period of time. He said these fruits cannot be put at stake for anyones personal gain.
