MOSCOW (Dunya News) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov met Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Faisal Niaz Tirmizi to discuss bilateral relations and the situation in the Gulf region.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the meeting, held on May 7, included discussions on the schedule of upcoming diplomatic engagements between the two countries, as well as a detailed exchange of views on the ongoing situation in the Persian Gulf.

During the meeting, the Russian side expressed support for Pakistan’s mediation and diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving tensions between Iran and the United States.

Russian officials described Islamabad’s role in promoting regional peace and stability as important, emphasizing that diplomacy and dialogue remain the most effective means of resolving current conflicts.

Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation and maintaining continuous engagement between Russia and Pakistan.
