Summary LHC has ordered Deputy AG and Petroleum Secretary to appear on LGP levy issue.
Different companies’ owners had moved writ petitions in the Lahore High Court against imposition of levy on LPG.When Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah conducted hearing of the case, companies’ owners said that the government has imposed LPG surcharge which is unbearable for the people.The petitioners appealed to the court that the stay order should be issued on the decision taken by the government.The court while accepting the writ petition for hearing has ordered the Deputy Attorney General and the Secretary Petroleum to appear in the court on February 27.
