ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A special traffic plan has been implemented in Islamabad due to the arrival of foreign delegations in the federal capital.
According to traffic police, commuters traveling from Peshawar to Rawalpindi via GT Road are advised to use Taxila Motorway, Chakri Chak Beli Road, and Rawat routes, while those traveling from Lahore to Peshawar should use Rawat, Chak Beli Road, and Taxila Motorway.
Traffic police have directed commuters heading from Margalla Road to Rawalpindi to use Ninth Avenue, while those traveling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad have been instructed to use Murree Road via Ninth Avenue.
According to the traffic police, vehicles moving from Faisal Avenue towards Zero Point will be diverted to Ninth Avenue, while the Expressway from Zero Point to Korral Chowk will remain closed on both sides.
Additionally, entry of all kinds of heavy traffic into Islamabad has been banned for today and tomorrow.
It is worth mentioning that the district administration of Islamabad has also announced a two-day local holiday.
According to the administration, all schools and offices in Islamabad will remain closed on Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10, while essential service institutions will continue to operate as usual.
