It took over 100 deaths to alert Punjab CM: Marri

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Sindh Information Minister expressed concerns over deaths in Punjab caused by adulterated drugs provided by Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).She said that Punjab Chief Minister’s accusations against Karachi pharmaceutical companies, represent his prejudice thinking.She added that drugs manufactured by pharmeutical companies in Karachi are distributed across the country, then why it caused deaths only in Lahore.Provincial Information Minister also said that FIA sealed the factory over directives by Ministry of Interior, however, Punjab government has not contacted in this regard.Earlier today, Shahbaz Sharif during press conference in Lahore said the medicine, suspected to have caused the deaths of cardiac patients in Punjab, was manufactured by a pharmaceutical company in Karachi.
