10 Jinnah Hospital doctors suspended for expired jab

Summary Ten doctors of Jinnah Hospital Lahore have been suspended for storing expired MRI injections.

The suspended doctors include former MS of the hospital. The hospital bought 3,000 MRI injections in April 2011, but 1,900 out of them expired. The hospital authorities should have replaced these jabs before their expiry in order to avoid loss to the exchequer.The doctors and other staffs suspension comes at a time when the provincial government is already dealing with PIC wrong medicines issue.As many as 122 heart patients have lost lives after taking medicines prescribed by Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore.
