Summary Sindh govt imposed pillion riding ban in Karachi amid law and order situation during Rabiul Awwal.
According to Interior Minister Sindh Manzoor Wasan, ban on pillion riding will be imposed in Karachi from Wednesday which will continue till Rabiul Awwal 12 (February 5).The decision of ban is taken in the back drop of fresh wave of violence in Karachi which claimed eight lives in different incidents. In Malir Town, unidentified gunmen opened fire at a vehicle killing Dr Ishfaque Ahmad on the spot.In another incident, gunmen riding motorbikes opened fire at a car near North Karachi power house killing three persons Adil, Adnan and Irfan.Three people were shot dead while another injured in firing incident occurred in a mobile franchise company in Nazim Abad.Earlier, the Sindh government imposed ban on pillion riding during Muharram in order to improve law and order situation in Karachi.
