Khurram Rasool handed over to FIA on 4-day remand

The Federal Investigation (FIA) authorities produced Mian Khurram Rasool before the court of Senior Civil Judge Islamabad Mehmood Haroon Khan.FIA pleaded the court to give physical remand of the accused as two cases of fraud were registered against the accused in the same police station. The accused received Rs 76.5 million from the petitioner via fake documents.The court handed over Khurram Rasool on a four-day physical remand to FIA and directed to produce him on February 3.The PPP workers chanted slogans in favour of Khurram outside the court premises.Talking to media, Khurram Rasool said that he had declared 1.86 billion assets on the occasion of 2008 elections. He said he is a businessman and pays his taxes regularly.Khurram said that baseless propaganda was being carried out against him.
