Ch Shujaat withdraws plea against Mukhtar

Ch Shujaat Hussain has filed disqualification plea against Defence Minister Ahmad Mukhtar in the Lahore High Court more than three years and 9 months ago.Ch Shujaat Hussain had requested the court to declare Ahmad Mukhtar disqualified because rigging was committed during the polling. He alleged that on the day of polling, grave rigging was committed by Mukhtar.Two-member bench headed by Justice Ijazul Hassan heard the petition. In today’s hearing, after 3 years and 9 months, Ch Shujaat’s counsel told the court that his client don’t want to proceed against Ahmad Mukhtar anymore. The court, on the basis of taken plea back, dismissed the case.
