Summary Sarwat Ijaz Qadri has announced renaming and making Sunni Tehreek a political party.

Addressing Pakistan Bachao Jan Nisaran-e-Mustafa Conference in Karachi, Sunni Tehreek chief Sarwat Ijaz Qadri announced renaming ST as Pakistan Sunni Tehreek and making it a political party of Pakistan. He declared that ST will start its political struggle from March 23.Qadri demanded the government arresting killers of their martyres. He said that tsunami of inflation and employment is flooding the country. Everybody talks about accountability but nobody offers himself for accountability, he added.He vowed that Sunni Tehreek will ensure law and order in the country and promised that ST will spend nation’s wealth for the welfare of the people. “We will organize Mehfil-e-Milad and promote other healthy activities to eliminate extremist mindset from society.”Pakistan Bachao Jan Nisaran-e-Mustafa Conference was organized by Sunni Tehreek (ST) at Nishtar Park in Karachi and different scholars addressed the moot.Before the start of the conference, bomb disposal squad carried out complete sweeping of the stage and ground and gave clearance. The participants were allowed to enter into the venue after clearance.Two gates were made to enter into the ground from which one was specified for the leaders while other was for general participants.Six walk through gates were also installed to ensure security. Heavy contingents of police and Rangers are deployed outside the venue.
