'Transparent polls must for strengthened democracy'

Addressing a public rally in Karachi Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Ameer Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said that JUI-F will bring true change in country because only JUI is based on a firm ideology.He said that the famous ‘Roti, Kapda, aur Makan’ slogan has become obsolete in Pakistan.Feudalism is a menace which has blocked the way of economic growth and financial prosperity, said Fazl. “It’s time we did away with this menace.”Fazl said that Pakistan did not break the shackles of British colonialism to become a US minion, adding we need to be break free from this slavish dependence.“US should stop behaving as if it were our master”, he said.Fazl questioned as to why every bearded or turbaned person was thought to be an extremist?Citing anti-Wall Street protests, he warned America to leave Pakistan alone and put its own house in order, which was on the verge of failure.“ Capitalism, socialism, and all such isms are dying, adding we routed the socialists out of Afghanistan and now it was America’s turn to face a fate similar to former Soviet Union”, said JUI chief.He vowed to bring about an Islamic revolution to found an Islamic social welfare state in Pakistan.Hundreds of thousands of people thronged Bagh-e-Jinnah Karachi, the venue of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JU-F) rally.People from across the city and interior Sindh began filling the ground near Quaid’s mausoleum shortly after Friday prayer, holding party flags and chanting slogans Allah-o-Akbar (God is great).According to reports, a large number of seminary students also turned up to attend the rally titled as, “Islam Zindabad Conference”.According to some analysts opined that the JUI rally outnumbered the PTI rally as far as participants are concerned.
