RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A case has been registered against PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, along with 400 others for staging a sit-in outside Adiala Jail.
The FIR was lodged by Saddar police station under provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act against 35 nominated accused and around 400 unidentified individuals.
Those named in the case include Aleema Khan, Noreen Niazi, Qasim Khan, Salman Akram Raja and Aliya Hamza.
Other nominated accused include Naeem Haider Panjotha, Tabish Farooq, Tayyaba Raja, Nadia Khattak, Haroon, Raja Asad Abbas, Zafar Gondal, Shafqat Abbas and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas.
Section 120, relating to criminal conspiracy to wage an attack against the state, has also been added to the FIR.
Police crackdown ends PTI sit-in near Adiala Jail
According to FIR, 14 accused were arrested from the scene last night and have been presented before an anti-terrorism court.
The accused have been charged with violating Section 144 and attacking police personnel.
The FIR further states that the accused raised slogans against the government and state institutions, blocked roads and continued to incite workers.
The protest reportedly caused inconvenience to the local population.
Despite police warnings, the accused allegedly continued to interfere in official duties, pelted stones and hurled glass bottles at police.
