The Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq has said that security arrangements for Pakistani-American businessman Mansoor Ijaz have been finalized after consultation with the Defence Secretary.The commission probing into the memogate scandal had asked the Attorney General to make appropriate security arrangements for Mansoor Ijaz in its January 9 order.“I have met with the defence secretary, interior secretary and the representatives of the federal security agencies to finalise the arrangements,” he said.Anwarul Haq said that army personnel could be involved if required under the commission’s order.The attorney general said Mansoor Ijaz had been given foolproof security under Article 245 of the Constitution. He added the article stated that the army could be asked to help the administration “in aid of civil power.”
