Wajid Shamsul Hassan, a burden on national exchequer

Shamsul Hassan has been living in a bungalow for the last 3 years and paying Rs 2.5 million rent per month despite the presence of official residence.According to sources, Shamsul Hassan has been living in a private bungalow since 2009 and Pakistani government is paying Rs 2.5 million per month rent. The official residence for the high commissioner has been closed since March 2009 for renovation and at least Rs 15 million has been allocated for this purpose, the sources added.The sources disclosed that the renovation has not been completed despite spending a huge amount. They also added that Wajid Shamsul Hassan is not shifting to the official residence as it is at long distance from his office.
