Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani termed Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and DG ISI General Ahmed Shuja Pasha’s depositions in the Supreme Court of Pakistan in memogate case as illegal.In an interview with a Chinese daily Peoples Daily Online, the prime minister said any action by a government official prior to consent from concerning authority was illegal.He said that the DG ISI and army chief didn’t take permission from defence ministry and him before they submitted their statements in the apex court.He said that the defence ministry had not sent any summary to him, seeking permission for Kayani and Pasha to submit rejoinders in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
