PA passes resolution to strengthen democracy

It was contended in the resolution that all the political parties are united for consolidation of democracy in the country and vowed to resist any unconstitutional change of rule.The problems faced by farmers were also discussed in the assembly session. Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that all payments to sugarcane farmers have been made clear while the process is being monitored this year.The agriculture minister said that Punjab government seized fake pesticides worth Rs 20 million whereas farmers were given 20,000 tractors under green tractor scheme with special subsidy of worth Rs 4 billion.Minority member Pervez Rafiq appealed to Imran Khan and Jamat-e-Islami to postpone their public gathering and sit-ins to be held on December 25.
