Railway workers stage sit-in against privatization

All railway unions which formed the Rail Mazdoor Ittehad jointly staged a protest sit-in in Lahore Railways Headquarter. The protest was led by labour leader Hafiz Salman Butt.Addressing to protesting workers, labour leaders said that they will never ever accept the privatization of Pakistan Railways. They demanded to give workers’ salaries according to prior procedure instead of through banks and also urged to give them day-allowance package.Leaders of different political parties are likely to join the protest also.
