Summary It is rightly said that greed has no limits. At least NEPRA has lived up to this maxim.
NEPRAhas even made lifeline consumers (those who consume less than 50 units) to pay raise in power tariff that was made under fuel adjustment. The rasie of Rs 1.03 was approved in June under monthly fuel adjustment.The notification then issued had declared the lifeline consumers exempt from the raise. However, the lifeline consumers have been made to pay the raised tariff under fuel adjustment for the current month bills. Rs 472 fuel price adjustment has been placed on each bill, including of the lifeline consumers.
