Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) candidate Chaudhry Ehsan Ullah won the PP-275 Bahawalpur by-polls.According to unofficial result, Chaudhry Ehsan secured 34,792 votes while his opponent Khalid Mahmood Jaja of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) got 30,498 votes.The Punjab Assembly seat was lying vacant as a result of death of Mumtaz Jaja, father of Khalid jaja, who died due to dengue virus.Workers of PML-N and PML-Q attacked each other with chairs and batons in several polling stations during the election, resulting in injuries to seven people.
